Chilly Chiles has been heating up Canada since 1993. We started as Canada’s first fiery-food specialty company, and for more than three decades we have helped people find the right kind of heat—from flavour-first everyday sauces to bottles made for serious chileheads.

Today, we carry over 900 hot sauces, including about 255 Canadian sauces. You can shop with us online from across Canada and internationally, or visit either of our two Ottawa locations.

A Canadian Hot Sauce Original

Chilly Chiles has changed a lot since 1993, but it came close to disappearing altogether. When the original owners announced they were closing, Blair Horvath asked whether the business could be saved. He bought the assets, found a new location and rebuilt the store in Manotick—with no training or handover and only about three months between closing and reopening.

That hands-on beginning still shapes the business. Since then, Chilly Chiles has operated in Manotick, Merrickville and several Ottawa shopping centres while packing and shipping countless online orders. The locations have changed; the point has not: offer a deep, interesting selection and help customers choose something they will genuinely enjoy.
