Cottage Stock

We love cooking wings on the Traeger at the cottage and ordered a few sauces to make wings night more fun. The variety to choose from was perfect. There was something for everyone. Placing the order was easy and they arrived as promised. We had an exciting Hot Ones challenge cottage style. I will definitely be ordering from Chilly Chilies again. Awesome service. 5+ ⭐️

Just what I was hoping for

The Chilly Chilies crew let me know that I'd be taking a risk by having hot sauce in glass bottles shipped cross-province during a Canadian winter. When I said I'd accept that risk because I was hoping to add self-inflicted torture to my list of winter lockdown activities, they obliged and carefully wrapped my hot sauces in insulated packaging, which arrived safe and sound.

The hot sauces themselves were fantastic.

Heartbeat Hot Sauce, made right in Thunder Bay, is pleasingly tangy and mild; a great accompaniment to almost any dish.

Los Calientes, by Heatonist, is a tantalizing blend of smoky, sweet, and tart; it gives oomph to a dish without overpowering it.

The Last Dab XXX, by Heatonist, lives up to its reputation. For a good two seconds, I had just enough time to think it isn't all that bad, until the pain set in. Yogurt and milk are prudent to have on hand to help soothe the burn, which seemed to last for roughly fifteen minutes before finally subsiding. The flavour itself has escaped my memory, as my psyche has attempted to cover the tracks of the trauma caused by its ingestion.

This sauce could easily steal Frank's Red Hot's slogan

I guess my only gripe with this sauce is it doesn't come in larger bottles. It has just the right amount of spicy to give it a good kick, without melting your tongue, and since it leans a bit more on the fruity side rather than vinegary, it goes well with all kinds of foods. Highly recommend this one!

Perfect if you like strong vinegar-y sauces.

So my partner loves this sauce, but she loves kimchi and all things vinegar/acid-y. So I'm giving this 4 stars based on her opinion.

The normal Hellfire Detroit is one of my favorite sauces of all time for reference; however Bourbon Habanero Ghost is too tart/acidy for my taste, its also considerably hotter (which is welcome for some but a difference to note), I'd say 40% hotter than normal hellfire.

Good flavour with lingering heat

This is a pretty darn hot sauce, but the underlying flavour is still noticeable. This is a good one to have in your collection for those liking a strong kick now and then.

So good!

Bought this set as a gift for my brother who collects hot sauce and he liked it a lot. The Chicago one works well with guacamole! While the Adobo loco packs a punch. 10/10 would purchase and try other stuff again! Also the packaging is great and it arrived in perfect condition.

Great first purchase!

Grabbed a four bottles to try out the service. Excellent service. Everything arrived, safely packed and in time for Christmas (Truff was pre-owned). Will definitely buy again.

Delicious

Definitely not over hyped. One of the best sauces I've had yet.
