Dawson's Sichuan Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce

More spice than I bargained for, especially considering you don't get a chili until the 4th ingredient. Very savoury and peppery, but the heat BUILDS and does not stop, so beware!

There are a lot of great hot sauces in the world, and yet a few manage to stand above the rest.

When tried out this hot sauce I very quickly became addicted, it has a delightful savoury peppercorn flavour profile, with that signature ghost heat to linger in the background. It's thick texture makes it great for holding onto foods without getting all over your hands. It is still a ghost pepper sauce, mind you, so make sure its a heat you are comfortable with if you want to really enjoy what this sauce has to offer.

This sauce has a wonderful pepper/garlic based flavour that lingers for a few seconds before the heat kicks in to let you enjoy the great taste. It hits the throat first, with a mild to increasingly hot heat level, then the salivary glands kick in and the tongue starts to burn as you drool and dive in for a better taste. Dawson's makes some of the best tasting hot sauces, if you can't handle the heat their Jalapeno Garlic is a delicious sandwich sauce.

I really love the flavour of this! It's a strong kick of heat with a lovely peppercorn and garlic flavour. Really nice, and I love the wax coating to seal the bottle. Just be sure to shake it up a lot as the olive oil does separate if it hasn't been used in a long time. But it holds up really well once shaken. Tasty!

The sichuan and olive oil come to the palate right off the bat in a big way. There is some underlying complicated flavours that come through to create something that would be truly amazing in a pesto.
ginger, lemon salt and ghost pepper work some mysterious magic that sends my taste buds to italy somehow... I will be trying this with pita bread and vinegar/oil dip as well.
