The morita pepper is a smoke dried ripe, red Jalapeno which gives it a flavour similar to that of a chipotle but bolder and a touch hotter. The biggest difference is that the chipotle is usually smoked for longer which gives it a more intense smoke flavour while the morita is a bit softer and more fruity.
