Dawson's Sweet Pear Chili Hot Sauce

Heat Chart

HS374

The light sweetness of ripe pears is perfectly balanced against the sharp heat of ripe Vietnamese chiles. Lime adds a citrusy layer and extra virgin olive oil contributes to a silky, smooth texture.

Mild sauce

I didn't really feel much heat or taste the pears from this sauce. Also very thick, I had to use a utensil to get the sauce out of the bottle.

Great fruity sauce

This is a great fruit based sauce that goes extremely well with pork, turkey, and chicken. I use it instead of the traditional apple and cranberry sauces. I had stuffed a pork roast with sliced apples and this sauce and it turned out to be quite a crowd pleaser. The heat was not intense at all after cooking.

Delicious!

Such a lovely combination of flavours and piquante heat. Will look forward to using this on barbecued burgers, and have already used it for fondue with chicken and shrimp. Yum.

Lovely on fruits

This lemony sweet sauce with a bit of heat goes very well on fruits such as melon, peach, any type of berry, apple etc

Good entry point into the crazy hot sauces.

This was my gateway into the realm of crazy hot sauces. If you’re ready to take the leap, I think it’s a great place to start. Good with meats, not really a pizza sauce.
