Dirty Dick’s Hot Pepper Sauce

May 02, 2018

Dirty Dick's Hot Sauce  Dirty Dick’s Hot Pepper Sauce is simply delicious. It’s bold, sweet, and spicy enough to leave most with an enjoyable burn. As a fresh-tasting blend of habanero peppers, tropical fruits, and freshly-ground international spices, it packs a decent punch! Our customers, including myself, can’t get enough of it! That’s why it comes as no surprise to me that it was featured for multiple seasons on the show Hot Ones, led by the great personality Sean Evans on First We Feast’s YouTube channel. You can find all our products that have been, or are currently featured, on the Hot Ones show by clicking on our “Hot Ones” tab at the top of our website.

This sauce is quite unique for the way all the ingredients blend in to make such a full-bodied product! The habanero peppers are the only sources of heat in this sauce. Their smoky-citrusy flavour work perfectly as a contrast, but also a complement to the other ingredients. The vinegar provides a light pungency and tang as it always does while the tomatoes add not only a bit of sweetness but some acidity to complement the vinegar and fruits. The sultanas, also known as Thompson Seedless raisins, along with the bananas provide that tropical fruit taste. The brown sugar also adds some sweetness, which complements the heat and taste of the habanero peppers. The onions and garlic add a very sublte zing which, along with the spices, add a deeper, bold quality to the sauce. In terms of heat I give this sauce a 4 out of 10. For most, it will have a medium-hot burn which does not last all too long, while the robust flavour is more long-lasting.

Dirty Dick’s is deliciously versatile in flavour in that you can add it to all kinds of veggies, meats, and fish for a bold, tropical, and sweet kick!  This sauce works great in seafood dishes. I’ve added it to sautéed shrimp, scallops, and even glazed it on salmon and trout. Try it in potato salad, grilled cheese, tacos, soups, ceviche, on wings, grilled chicken thighs, grilled veggies like zucchini, and even stews! This sauce is also great as a dip for spring rolls, egg rolls, dumplings, French fries and more! I highly recommend this sauce if you love a bold sauce with tropical fruity notes and a decent kick!

 As always, Keep it spicy!

Mad Dog 357 Hot Sauce

One of my lifetime favorite

That sauce is a must have for any hot sauce lover. Absolutly gourgious. I can't live without this sauce anymore. Great habanero chilly taste. Just enough concistency to stick on food. Good mild habanero heat. Wait no longuer and treat yourself. A masterpiece!

So this is what hell tastes like!

We ordered Da Bomb Beyond Insanity Hot Sauce for our Hot Ones Hot Wing night with some friends on May long weekend. Holy crap, does this sauce ever live up to the hype. 6 of us bit into Da Bomb coated wings and it was quite the spectacle! - let's just say if you eat Da Bomb, know you will have no shame. It is a mean hot sauce. So freaking hot, it killed us and our mouths for 20 minutes. It was crazy but well worth it! We really appreciate Chilly Chilies and your great selection and customer service. The Hamajang sauce we ordered is also delicious and packs a surprise punch. Thanks!!

Wow!

This item is a must for die-hard fans, but be warned, it’s really hot! Great taste though.

Salty & Spicy

Yes. It’s salt. So it is Salty.

Sometimes you hope that the company doesn’t skimp on the secondary ingredients. I feel the secondaries can be more substantial but if this is version 1.0. Then a wee bit of improvement is standard.

Hotness - the hotness is a good amount. Wanting to make your dish hotter, you put more on and it’s just a salty mess. Let’s bring up the scovilles on this one 50K-100K.

Other: no sugar. This is excellent. It’s hard to find a hot spice mix that doesn’t involve sugar. That’s the reason I went with this one. (However some of their other ones do have sugar in them. Beware)
